Pros

There are some great people here

Cons

Initially accepting a remote position with the option to be hybrid but now being required to come in once a week prevented a team member who is very valuable to the team I was on to have to go to another team because CSD needed to be tied to an office where if she moved a year ago, she would have been able to remain on the team. Bogus HR rules.

It is wonderful to hear that you are having an 'Amazing' experience as an Associate Technical Account Manager and that you are enjoying your 'great' colleagues! We are transparent about our hybrid work model which is communicated clearly to employees during the recruitment process. While we appreciate that working 1-day per week from the office may present some challenges, we believe the hybrid work model provides tremendous flexibility to our employees and most employees appreciate the freedom of choice.

Thank you for sharing about your experience as an Associate Technical Account Manager in our Atlanta office. We are glad to hear that you enjoy our comprehensive benefits and a flexible schedule! Yardi has taken a compassionate and understanding approach to our hybrid work policy, and our current approach is to have employees on-site 1 day per week. This model considers the impact to our employees and allows for flexibility and balance in our personal and professional lives. We encourage you to reach out to your Atlanta Human Resources team to further discuss any concerns or suggestions you may have.

Pros

The company provides nice offices and convenient locations to work in and is helpful in meeting your needs for remote work. General company culture is helpful and friendly and laid back. Its easy to talk to co-workers and other employees.

Cons

General pay is low for the industry. Its difficult for pay raises to keep up with inflation or other changes with the industry. Also the tech stack that is used is built in house and largely poorly supported or documented. This can lead to very frustrating and hard to debug errors occurring in the web server framework. This leads to work-arounds and poorly understood code tricks being used to achieve tasks. The only way to understand these work-arounds or code tricks is to have another dev explain whats going on to you. Bugs and errors in web server framework can silently error or give very poorly worded errors and can lead to lots of manual debugging/testing.

Thank you for sharing about your experience as a Software Development Engineer 1 in our Santa Barbar location. We are glad to hear that you enjoy our fun and incisive culture and our flexible hybrid work model. We have the newest technology available to both employees and clients, including AngularJS, IoT, AI/Machine Learning, and Kubernetes. We strongly encourage employees to meet regularly with their managers to discuss any difficulties or suggestions they may have so additional support can be provided.
