Pros

Extremely good insurance program and benefits! Solid work/life balance! Established organization viewed as market leader which provides good job security.

Cons

Yardi Sr. Level management seems to have no respect for sales executives throughout the organization. This is evident based on recent changes that minimizes reps effectiveness within each market. Management's lack of sales experience or ability was shown through the dramatic realignment with limited visibility as to why or how the new rollout would take place. There has been no investment in the sales organization to train reps on new products only the guidance to "go sell and be happy". It is a commonly known fact in the market that Yardi severely underpays sales for the level of experience and tenure required to be successful. There is no defined career progression leaving no opportunities for advancement.

It's not always easy to read the negatives, but we appreciate your feedback. We assume that you are reacting to recent changes within our sales department. The changes were made after consulting with many on the sales team. Some years ago we restructured our sales department and if Glassdoor was around we probably would have read similar posts. Despite the fear, the changes meant higher returns for almost everyone in the sales department. So we ask that you give this a chance, and let's talk about it at the end of the year. We would also point out that a number of sales people have departed over the years for "greener pastures," and many of them have returned to Yardi.

Pros

I have been with Yardi for under 5 years in sales. This company does have great work life balance and I used to think cared about its employees. Yardi does have good insurance options and has some good competitive advantages for the products.

Cons

Compared to the market sales executives are drastically underpaid. Recruiters will tell you that competitors both in real estate and outside the industry target yardi employees knowing they are under appreciated for our skill sets. There is a disconnect between upper management and what is really happening with sales. Yardi completely changed sales structure in 2016 so you have individuals who have sold certain products for 15 years all of the sudden thrown into roles where they have zero experience are given no ramp up time. Sales organization was given 3 week notice of this change and not given ANY training until February 1 which is when our goal also started for the year. What a terrible position to put individuals in. On top of that Yardi has a very poor training "system" basically read a presentation and you should know everything. Really disappointed in the direction of Yardi and very soon they are going to lose half of the sales workforce due to insufficient pay and zero upward mobility.
