I’m sorry you had a less than desirable experience with Corizon. Since you opted not to list a location, our hands are somewhat tied, in terms of following up on your concerns with management. Hopefully, you escalated your issues through the chain of command, while you were still on board. Most of our sites have a minimum of a Director of Nursing and a Health Services Administrator. If neither of those were able to address, you could escalate to the Regional DON or your Director of Operations. We also have a confidential employee compliance line available, for staff that opt to accelerate beyond their contract level. Each site has a designated Employee Relations Specialist as well. I wish things would’ve been better for you, and hope you’ve found fulfillment in your current position. Sincerely, Courtney Penning Director of Talent Acquisition

Pros

12 hour shifts, usually not a hassle to get time off when you need it.

Cons

It is a correctional facility, so your patients are also inmates. Short staffed a lot.

Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience with Corizon. Our common practice, is to recruit for a PRN pool, on an ongoing basis. I will check with the recruiter assigned to your site, to make sure that’s happening. Sincerely, Courtney Penning Director of Talent Acquisition

I think this is some very valid feedback. Turnover in the healthcare industry is at an all-time high, and we want to curb that as much as possible. I’d love a chance to hear your thoughts on what we can do, as an organization, to attract and retain the best medical staff possible. If you are willing, please give me a call so we can chat one on one about what we can do better/differently. 314.919.9506. Hope to hear from you soon. Sincerely, Courtney Penning Director of Talent Acquisition
