      Pros

      Above average pay, correctional staff was always helpful toward us

      Cons

      Hostile work environment, bullying coworkers, inflexible work schedule, benefits steadily decline. Dayshift seemed to be their own exclusive club, having parties and potlucks often, while other shifts were left with heavier workloads that did not get done during the day. No breaks for certain shifts.

      Pros

      Money is above average. Do not feel unsafe while in the prison. Correctional officers are very helpful. Three day work week.

      Cons

      Management will promote their own family and friends. Open positions are not posted for other employees to apply. Schedule changes are made without notice and any explanation.

      Pay was half way good. Should be higher when working with inmates.

      Cons

      inmate population. The MD was condescending to nurses and to inmates.
