Pros

Would be good benefits, PTO, and some very fine colleagues. Was not able to enjoy, however, after being bullied , tested, "initiated", set up , and wrongfully terminated after just 4 months!

Cons

Same as pros...these folks are much more dangerous to your sense of safety in all aspects of humane patient and employee treatment, than swinging the gates wide, handing out shenks, and double-daring the gangs to riot, rape, warfare- and that includes the gangs in uniform with the keys!!! You can watch your back, as you are mentally, professionally, emotionally- affronted , drawn and quartered... In the words of Braveheart, all I can say is "Freedom!!!" ...

Pros

The pay rates are better than some of the local hospitals, and the insurance packages are pretty decent though a little expensive.

Cons

There are unrealistic expectations for the nursing staff, heavy mandated overtime policies. Staff works 100+ hours every two weeks just to "get the job done" but company allow more people per shift- too obsessed with the "SCD" to see their people are burnt out. People call off because they are physically and mentally exhausted, and most of them have not earned the PTO time yet to cover those days.

Pros

You are compensated at a fair rate of pay

Cons

It will take you an extra hour or two of your own time every shift you work just to get in and out of the prison. This company has a very autocratic management system and management does not care to listen to what you have to say. Much of management is run by gossip and employees are subject to discipline on the basis of gossip. Beware of taking a job with this company.
