Pros

Working with a lot of talented people, especially on the Operations team

Cons

No true transparency from C-level leadership. Also, office politics was very evident.

Pros

Excellent induction with the optimum mix of formal instructions and guided trials. Good care and recognition of its people. Zum goes above and beyond to support and motivate its employees, which clearly contributes to the success of the company, as well as the satisfaction of the team. This is also a company that encourages people to be themselves. The company is genuinely interested in the well being of all employees, constantly urging feedback to become an even better place to work. My hard work is noticed and rewarded through raises and bonuses.

Cons

Absolutely nothing, it’s possible to discuss and resolve any issues without conflicts.

Pros

Absolutely no pros to working here.

Cons

- "We're all family here" mentality really means they expect you to work hours outside of what regular work hours would be with no additional compensation to your less than market value salary. - Constant turnover in their HQ's Operations team. Apparently, people have been previously laid off and been brought back. Is it because they were favorites or it is easier than training someone new, who will likely quit after realizing how awful this place actually is. -Their business model is constantly changing but use the excuse that they are a "fast-growing start up". The CEO and COO will pivot the second they see the money they are chasing turn to a different road. Why do you think Zum works with buses now? That was the whole reason they started an alternative for parents. - CTO and the Engineering team doesn't deviate from their roadmap, yet talk about all the major improvements at all hands with demos. The app doesn't actual work for schools, parents and kids most of the time. You'd think at least the navigation and tracking would work since they constantly boast how safe the company is, right? -Most of the kids who ride are special needs and require more attention that a typical rider/driver relationship for any other ride share company. There's a lack of empathy from the entire company. -Corners are cut to find the cheapest way to pay drivers, which is has been chalked up to the COVID pandemic and drivers collecting unemployment. Maybe drivers should be paid a reasonable fee for a 24 mile ride instead of $16.
