Pros

Semi rewarding work. There’s a gym.

Cons

First, you will be promised growth, but ZOLL hardly promotes within!!!!! Ever! You can switch departments after 2 years! But no actual growth! Awful management, selfish and abusive verbally. Pay is not nearly enough for the work and stress. Toxic, toxic, toxic culture. Management will not hear your suggestions Management is always right Teams are clicky and gossipy, don’t be surprised of walking in on conversations that are about you or others. Oh yea, highly unrealistic sales quotas And penny pinching management that will nearly never invest in new equipment unless your the favorite employee. Management plays favorites! I was one of favored but hated every minute!

Pros

The product is good and our doctors and patients are super cool.

Cons

This company is so far outside industry standards for managing a sales force, it is unbelievable they are in business. Goals are raised every 2 weeks and if you can survive that, they also raise the goal at the end of the year so you start out the next year at the highest possible number. Commission credit depends on insurance reimbursement, which changes all the time and many policies don't pay anything at all. Most reps get paid on about half of what they sell. Also, if the accounting department makes errors in calculating insurance payments, the commission credit is reversed - this affects at least half of all bonus cycles because of the high volume of errors. Patients and doctors are put last - Zoll objectives are put first. It doesn't matter if what they do makes sense or not to the outside world - Zoll makes customers and patients work around them. It is BACKWARD. Most reps stay 1.5 -2 years. Zoll is ok with that - they don't understand how costly turnover is. They think reps are weak and they think those that leave just can't hack it. Anyone who disagrees with their policies are antagonized until they leave. Feedback is NOT welcome here.

Pros

I would like to say there are some Pros for this company, but i wouldn't want to give false hope to the poor souls who are brave enough to embark into this company.

Cons

This company is by far the worst company I have ever has misfortune to work for. It is ran like a circus with constant rule changes to fit the mood of the managers for that day. There is zero respect for employees, and the constant micromanaging accompanied with lack of communication to staff leaves one to wonder how the company as a whole hasn't come to an end. Working on the back end for this company people can first hand see how people are mislead into being fit for the vest to increase the companies revenue. As long as numbers are high the company is happy, and they do not care by what means the numbers are achieved by. Don't let the above average pay rate fool you, the moment you take this job it will be a constant downhill slide. My advice to anyone who feels that they should apply for Zoll Life Core is run far, and run fast.
