      Hoping to see light at the end of the tunnel

      It pays well; causal office... jeans & sneakers; young culture

      Cons

      With the recent recession, ZS had some low morale that seemed to infect many within the organization. ZS is currently trying to fix these issues with some focus groups to bring about change. The hours can be long and plentiful. It is becoming increasingly harder to transfer offices due to the high need of experienced people. The company is very cheap when it comes to spending and each office seems to treat this differently (some smaller offices have more outings and free food more frequently than larger offices)

      Compensation is good (not great) Build analytical & communications skills Ultimate brand in pharma & med devices

      Cons

      Senior management demonstrates extremely poor leadership Penny wise, pound foolish approach to employee perks & benefits Must fit a very specific mold to be successful long term; GREAT talent is driven away every year because they don't walk the perfect walk

      No work-life balance, not real consulting work

      Some of the people esp junior Support functions - IT, HR, Admin very helpful Nice work if you like the specialization Well-known in pharma circles as a data shop if that is the career focus

      Cons

      NOT a consulting firm, at best software, petty excel models and analytics for pharma Tries to sell a consulting image at unis and bschools, work is mostly co-ordinating software tools and operational stuff Very poor senior managers and principals in the NY office, basically not selling much work and lower-level employees suffering as a result; Professional development is a joke Non-existent work life balance Not doing that well, some months this year, no projects were sold; Few people have consequently been let go recently
