Pros

You'll receive a paycheck for your work and some benefits.

Cons

Undervalued employees. Elitist executives. No pay raises. No advancement. No mentoring. No training.

Pros

The one positive WAS the flexibility to work from home. That has been removed and employees are being told that they must report to the closest office or lose their jobs. So in summary, there are literally ZERO POSITIVES at Zayo.

Cons

Very poor executive decisions and direction that is completely out of touch with the daily reality that their employees experience. Constant reorganization of sales has made it virtually impossible for customers/sales reps to have a meaningful relationship with each other. Pay is poor and supposedly compensated by quarterly RSU’s, but the RSU’s are based on bonus %’s that are consistently WAY BELOW 100%. On average, the bonus % is roughly 60%. Reasons for the poor bonuses are very convoluted and hard to follow. Executive team simply comes up with a new excuse every quarter. So do the math. With a salary that is very contingent on RSU stock bonuses, whatever you THINK you will be paid, you will not. Another con is the fact that Dan Caruso (CEO) has surrounded himself with “yes men” as his executive team. The only consistent quality of the high level executives is their ability to feed the CEO’s (huge) ego by agreeing with everything that he says and does. It’s like sheep in a flock. No one dares challenge leadership so no productive debate or critique ever occurs. Those few that do challenge the flow are quickly weeded out let go or given packages to leave. The “Socratic” method of questioning and analyzing decisions in a constructive manner is unheard of here. Many of the top execs are now former L3 execs who are used to a very rigid and controlling culture, one that is very unpleasant to work under and bossy with little room for constructive ideas.

Pros

Nothing positive to say about Zayo.

Cons

They are greedy and unethical. They tell you months in advance what to expect in terms of commission, and then change it drastically 1 week before payout. Zayo firmly believes in "Hiring them young & cheap". They like to run a slim operation, where you are forced to wear multiple hats and work long hours to take care of your customers. Zayo only cares about shareholders and upper management. They are not an employee first or even customer first company. Zayo would sell their own children if it made them a profit.
