Wonderful place to “grow up” in the software industry
Pros
Zift is excellent at working with employees that want to be better, contribute, and make Zift better. They are not abundant, but there are definitely opportunities to grow within Zift if you put in the hard work. The managers I worked with (2 different ones over the course of 6 years) were both EXCELLENT managers. They allowed me to be creative, try new things, disagree with them, and helped me grow into each role I had. The company also worked with me to keep me as a remote employee for most of my employment, as I am a military spouse. That level of care was really what has allowed me to keep my career, and I will forever be grateful to them for that. I really have had nothing but positive experiences at Zift.
Cons
They struggle to pay internally promoted employees within the salary range of their new position. I do understand that it’s a hard balance to find when they have not yet done the job, but they could probably do better to stay on top of that as the employee begins to show their worth in the role. They recognize this though, and I believe they will try to do better.
