Pros

Great and fun place to work, flexible working hours, being a small company gives people the opportunity to learn a lot, if you choose to take this opportunity. Most people wear a lot of hats which allows you to learn more. The people in the company are fun to work with, there’s a lot of talent, the executive team I have the opportunity to work with are great mentors. The pros and cons about a small company is that if you do a good job everyone can see it, if you do a bad job everyone can see it too. The company promotes people who work hard, it’s a nice thing anyone can look forward to if we put in the work and effort. In my time at this company we’ve had two CEO’s who have been great, our current CEO is someone who tries to understand all aspects of the company and the people in order to make it successful, a better place to work, and a great partner to our customers.

Cons

Hardly any if you enjoy your job. Working hours can be very long and sometimes hard to balance with personal life. Salaries can be below market. A lot of leg work has to be done due to systems being implemented and not mature enough but things are improving so just need to be patient.

Pros

Lots of interesting challenges and problems to solve; creates a great learning environment. People that thrive in an environment where a customer presents a problem and you have to come up with a solution will do well. The constant learning and evolution is what makes the job so exciting.

Cons

Because the company is learning and growing, the roles and responsibilities are often in flux and this can be frustrating. You need to be a good communicator and networker to form relationships and navigate through the organization to get what you need. Some people love this because of the comradery. Those that just want to be told what to do and how to do it are often frustrated.
