Pros

Ziply has a great product. Once installed it works well and miles better than cable.

Cons

Ridiculous pay. They tell you the base is low, they know that. (50%below market rate) However, they’ll tell you the commission structure more than makes up for it. Not true. Quota goes up if you exceed it which means commissions drop. Complete bait and switch to hire talent they can’t afford or are willing to pay. Prepare for a disappointing experience.

Terrible workplace culture, constant chaos, terrible morale

Pros

100% remote Great co-workers and teammates

Cons

Initially, the changeover from Frontier to Ziply was really challenging, but very positive and rewarding. There was a lot of customer focus, a lot of work to do, and people were happy to dig in. However, leadership never moved on from that “first year” mentality, and never made the changes necessary in order to create a sustainable, well trained, functioning workforce. It became very obvious that the company would be sold within only a handful of years, and that management was only looking at the very short term and trying to maximize their profits there at the expense of their current employees and long term relationships. Ziply had almost no systems and procedure trainings, and product training was minimal. People are left to figure things out as they go with little formal training. Then, there were major system migrations with no formal plan in place. Entire systems are migrated before they are ready, and without any formal notice internally. There have been layoffs for the past 2+ years, and so any complaint was met with “you should just be happy to have a job”. Each day is difficult and chaotic, and the worst part is that it doesn’t have to be but the company doesn’t want to invest in proper staffing levels and even the minimum of training. Morale is incredibly low internally. Everyone is overworked and underpaid. At least in the commercial division, there is a hard cap of 5% on all raises. You get a promotion? Capped at a 5% raise, no negotiating. There have been layoffs in the company over the past 2 years, leaving people even more overworked and also sad. The layoffs have been incredibly morale destroying. Leadership is terrible, but you can read the other reviews for more on that. I miss the Ziply of 2021/2022.
