Pros
I came to Zones from a similar but different enough industry that allows me to take my learning’s and apply them here. It is has been quite exciting as the last organization I was a part of was in a growth mode similar to Zones. This particular organization is very people focused which can be quite rare in any sales organization culture. I have a strong sense of autonomy here and feel I have the ability to influence our strategic initiatives for the future. The other great facet about Zones is that you do not need the strongest background in IT. I think any individual that has a strong business acumen with a good work ethic will do well here. There is a very bullish outlook for growth as an organization, but personally as well. I am most excited to see what our organization will look like in the future with the focus and investments being made currently.
Cons
With any organization that is in growth mode, there are certainly some areas of opportunity. The good thing is that there are plans to address or enhance the issues around infrastructure and resources. There is no shortage of initiatives or projects, but to me these are good problems to have versus not having enough.
