Pros

Love my team and the people I work with. Lot of emphasis on work/life balance, promotes a very flexible schedule. Great benefits.

Cons

Feels unclear from leadership where the company is heading, especially after layoffs. Still learning to scale their growth in a sustainable way.

Good individuals but bad management

Pros

Good work benefits. The company promotes fitness and mental health. Working hard can lead to promotions and we're encouraged to set career goals and expand our skills

Cons

Poor management. For my first year, I had supervisors that had no clue as to what I was doing. I was finally reassigned to a supervisor who worked closely with my team but in my final year, I was regularly flip flopped between a great supervisor and a clueless supervisor. It was very annoying. Aside from that, the majority of the 3+ years I was there, my team had no product manager. When the product manager would leave for one reason or another, the product manager doesn't get replaced immediately. At one point we went for over a year straight with no product manager. Also, project managers apparently don't get paid well enough because they constantly get pouched by other companies. Another big con is that each year I was employed, there was at least one big set of layoffs. It was as if it's an annual event. Sometimes it was because the company was changing directions, so they cleared out everyone that was working on the project that got canned, or sometimes they do a cross-the-board layoff. Execs are clearly bad with money. There's too much emphasis on creating a "company culture." They spend who knows how much money on catering and events. There's at least weekly catering for lunch once a week, but often times there's catering multiple times a week. Many of us would prefer to just get paid more and go home on time to see our families. As for "company culture," Zwift is very vocal about social politics. The workplace should have a neutral stance on religion and politics, but Zwift is very open about what they support and have regular webinars to lecture you on what you should believe. If you don't support the same social politics, you wont feel comfortable here because not only does management organize workshops and webinars, but your coworkers will feel like the workplace is an appropriate place to share their opinions but it's not an appropriate place for any other opinion.
