Great people throughout the company who work really hard each day. The company is well run and is very inclusive with the employees.

Cons

The owner of Zynx (Hearst) not aligned with the mission of Zynx. It is not all about making money all the time.

Zynx technology has been an agile shop (Scrum + eXtreme Programming) for about a year and a half now (with help from ThoughtWorks), and the energy and esprit de corps here is great. Management is unafraid of new technologies, languages and frameworks, and they're very interested in everyone's career development needs. Work/life balance is definitely better than average for the industry, and the pay and benefits are excellent. Business and job security is good (market leader in a healthcare IT category with high barriers to entry).

Cons

Westwood village office tower is an unusual place for a technology operation (lots of traffic). Parent company (Hearst Business Media) controls the network, presenting an impediment to getting things done quickly in the technology operation, sometimes. Hearst's corporate culture imposes a few policies that some may find irksome (e.g., time and attendance submission). No strict dress code, though, thankfully.
