Pros

- Benefits - A job is a job! - Cool coworkers you may develop long-term friendships with - Again I say: Something different everyday! The job doesn't really get boring since it's never too routine! - Flexibility. You may apply for one position but are allowed to work multiple if you request it.

Cons

- Ratchets. 'Nuff said. - It may be a Discount store BUT customers still try to find their way to either steal from the store or to be able to get things for much cheaper than they already are! - Requirement for fast-paced check out is hard to achieve when customers take their time deciding on what they should get and not having their cash ready by the time you give them their total. - Store gets busy real often! Especially on holidays & weekends! - Some coworkers may be carry out their own weight. i.e. slacking off leading to others having to put in DOUBLE the amout of efforts!

Pros

fellow employees and some managers were nice

Cons

they tell you to work faster but aren't happy with the work you do when you do work fast. the cashiers get numbers every week. I was one of the slowest according to their test. but when I ask if I was slow they said no your fast. I knew I was fast but they would tell me every week to improve my numbers. I even asked how. they couldn't tell me. I said im fast I get the line down fast then how can I improve the numbers. they could never answer me because their system is crap and they make you feel like your not doing good enuf even though you see your faster then other cashiers that have higher numbers. if you've gone to a dds or Ross store you know how messy they are its because if you take to long fixing your area the right way they get mad and call you a slow worker. my dad past away around Christmas time but my manager wouldn't give me time off to go to his funeral because it was the holiday season. thats when I quit. worst place ever. you've been warned.
