Pros
Working at dv01 presents you with the opportunity to work on an incredibly sophisticated software package that challenges you to employ best practices and be a part of a constantly evolving tech stack to stay up to date with scalability needs and client requests. The firm has a mindset of doing things "the right way" rather than simply just doing something to get it done. Working here you are surrounded by a set of brilliant minds that are always open to collaboration and discussion. You really get the sense that everyone in the company is human, and you can truly trust people across the board. dv01 has a unique positioning in that its filled with people who are both competent and empathetic, what more could you ask for?
From a company culture perspective, dv01 is a place that truly cares about its employees, actively strives to promote your growth, and enables you to succeed both inside and outside of the office. This statement holds true for day to day activities, such as dv01 hosting learning sessions on various relevant technologies / tools weekly, but also for longer term goals as well. A great example of this is after having discussion with employees about longer term goals, dv01 making the decision to host monthly seminars detailing what it takes to run a company and turn an idea into a business from the ground up. While working here, you can be confident that the company you work for actually wants you to succeed and grow as a person. You never get the feeling that you're just a small fish in an ocean full of sharks so to speak, something that is prevalent among many other companies.
To put it simply, working here is truly unique, it feels as if you are part of a family. The company culture starts from the top down, and is mostly due to our CEO, Perry. He is an incredibly brilliant guy that is very serious about his work, but he also likes to maintain a work environment with as little stress as possible. The office culture of being both extremely serious about our work, but also liking to have fun stems from him and trickles down. It is truly a pleasure working in an environment like this, and I would not want it any other way after experiencing what it is like working here. Furthermore, the HR department actively reaches out to ensure you feel comfortable in your daily activities and also maintains this communication channel to ensure that the company can support your goals and overall direction in your career. It is very apparent that the company views its employees as assets they want to help grow and ultimately develop into better people overall.
Cons
The only real downside of working here is that you are expected to take on a large amount of responsibility and perform to a very high level. This is not all that much of a con for most people that work here, but for those that are looking for a place they can coast by and not really have to do all that much, this is not the place for you.
