Not a good place for engineers

Pros

They've managed to retain some great people despite themselves. You won't be micromanaged. Flexibility about where you work -- you don't have to be in the office even when you're not at a customer site.

Cons

On the road and away from family too much, working way too many hours, so the flexibility mentioned as a pro is largely negated. No comp time or effort to bring any work / life balance to the table. 401K is a joke compared to comparably sized companies. Vacation policies and holiday time off are sub-par. NO thought to career development. Training opportunities are rare except for the "freebies" given by vendors. Professional service people are at the bottom of the corporate pecking order, you answer to everyone. Lots of turnover and like everywhere else when someone leaves, those that remain pick up the slack. Very little done to increase customer satisfaction until something "blows up".
