Pros

The people, processes, documentation and entire culture at Clarus is what I've been craving in a working environment my entire career. It is inclusive, welcoming, friendly, and most of all everyone is focused on the getting the job done together. The leadership team drives this fantastic culture and leads with a hand-on approach. They are not afraid to brainstorm and ask "crazy" questions.

I wish I would have found Clarus 10 years ago...

Pros

- The team is friendly and supportive. - New hires are vetted just as much on personality as they are on experience and skills. - Fast-paced yet casual culture. - The job you were hired for is the job you'll do (unless you get promoted or want to try something else; I've been "baited and switched" at other companies). - Encouragement and support to learn new things and build skills (training budget for each employee, opportunities to attend conferences, etc.) - Great extra benefits (generous work from home policy, summer Fridays, company outings, bagel Fridays, etc.) - Voted a Top CT Workplace 5 years in a row and for good reason!

Cons

- Some of the typical growing pains of a growing company (but they are always hiring new talent to fill gaps).

Always looking to innovate and invest for the future of the business as well as individual employee growth.

Cons

While the new office is nice, the open office concept makes it difficult to accomplish daily work as you either have to put on head phones or move away from your desk to be able to concentrate.

Innovation is key for Clarus, and providing an opportunity for our already talented employees to continue to grow is certainly always a focus, so thanks for recognizing that. Although moving to an “open” office environment was a big step for the company, the majority of feedback received is that it fosters collaboration and a better sense of teamwork. However, we’re glad to hear you’re moving around with your work as that was also part of the plan. We hope that the white noise technology we’ve now installed and the many areas to bring your laptop to will continue to provide good options for you.
