Pros

This company is great! So far everyone has been extremely helpful and kind. Working from home can be difficult when you first start a job, but the orientation process was great, you really get to learn about all sides of the company which is helpful. Overall it seems like a great, healthy place to work.

Cons

I have not come across any cons to the company yet. Everything has been great so far and it really is a great place to work.

We understand how difficult starting a new job remotely can be, but I'm glad to hear you're finding the video meetings and orientation process helpful. Thank you so much for the feedback. We're thrilled to hear that you're having a positive experience here at Clarus. Thanks for your note regarding meetings. Since we have been working remotely for over a year, we have received some feedback that meetings have increased due to the need for video. As you may know, we responded to that feedback recently by sending out some guidelines around reducing the number of meetings, participants, meeting notes, agendas and other changes that we hear have improved things. We will also continue to re-prioritize work and projects to ensure there is a balance between business needs and employee work life balance. Micromanagement at is finest

Pros

All departments seem to have an awesome work environment apart from the software testing area. Products are very interesting apart from using old tech. Flexibility. Salary was ok. Good.

Cons

Huge amount of useless meetings, often more meetings than product development. Huge amount of useless reports to be sent. Messages just to check on what are you working on. 4 or 5 communication channels to keep up with. 1:1 meetings with managers are interrogation meetings not productive feedback. "Questions answered with questions" environment instead of collaboration.

You mention that you are an employee of Clarus, but then refer to salary in the past tense so our assumption is that you may have left Clarus. Our hope is that you provided direct feedback either while employed in your exit interview with People Operations so that we can evaluate anything that may need to be addressed.
