Pros

Lots of classes. Nothing else.

Cons

This company treats educators as mere statistics rather than professionals, offering extremely low pay and an isolating environment with zero staff connection. The reality of working here: The onboarding process requires unpaid labor for a subpar curriculum, and the company even conducts secret, unconsented recordings of lessons. It is an exploitative, highly isolating experience that I cannot recommend—truly the bottom of the barrel in the EFL industry.

While we appreciate the feedback, there are some points in this review that need clarification. First, the suggestion that trainers are treated as “mere statistics” is at odds with our values. Trainers are at the centre of what we do. Trainer Managers and coaches work hard to build supportive, professional relationships with them. We also need to push back on the allegation that lessons are secretly recorded without consent. That is simply untrue. Lesson observations follow clear policies and processes. If you genuinely believe a lesson was recorded without the appropriate consent or authorisation, please contact us directly so we can investigate. While your overall feeling is clearly negative, you did note that our high lesson volume is a positive. Our pay model is built around this, and with no strict cap on availability, trainers can build very full schedules and earn a lot that way. Of course, like you said, initial training is unpaid - but manager meetings and any additional training is paid after six months with goFLUENT. In any case, we wish you the best in the future.

Pros

Good environment, big potential of career development if you put in the work, a lot of learning opportunities.

Cons

Not a lot of flexibility, and not a place for people who are not motivated and willing to do more than your scope.

It's fantastic to hear that your experience has been such a positive one. We appreciate your thoughts on flexibility as well. Different roles come with different expectations and, like you said, it's fair to say that this environment is best suited to people who are motivated and looking to take ownership of their development. Thank you for sharing your experience and for your continued contribution to the team.

Pros

The students are nice, bcs their companies are paying for the lessons.

Cons

Everything else. Terrible pay. They lie to you just to get you in.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. From our perspective, it's difficult to square your idea that the learners were only respectful because their training was paid. We would like to think that our trainers offer enough value to learners that they would happily pay for their lessons themselves. You also seem to suggest dishonesty. Transparency is one of our core values, and misleading trainers would run completely against how we operate. If you ever felt misled, our Talent Acquisition team would genuinely want to hear about it, so please reach out for an exit interview when you have a chance.
