Pros

Honeygrow is a growing brand with an ever increasing market. The food offered is fresh and healthy and tastes good. There are benefits packages offered to employees regardless of rank.

Cons

There are constant prep/recipe changes, leading to confusion between BOH and FOH on practices, as well as on what information is current to provide guests with. Expectations of all employees is a bit over what is realistic, and pay is not scaled to fit workload. Managing feels more like babysitting a countertop that actively managing a team.

Good afternoon! Hi, my name is Warren, honeygrow's Director of Talent Management. I just wanted to send a quick note to say "Thank You" for taking the time to share your honeygrow experiences as a current employee. It is feedback/comments like this that will help us grow as an organization. Thank you for the kind words on all the “pros” you mentioned. Growing brand, good food-that’s good for you and benefits for employees regardless of rank; these are a few key areas that make me proud to be at honeygrow. I always love getting feedback/comments on our operations. I will be honest and transparent with you; this communication breakdown is feedback that we have heard from our FOH/BOH team members in the past. I want you to know that we have plans in place to address this issue specifically, some of which I cannot discuss unfortunately, but they will be rolled out in the near future. In the meantime we have been working on implementing new technology tools to help at the stores and we are incorporating new sections into our training program to help create more clear communication channels when changes are implemented. You mentioned a few other cons around “realistic expectations for employees”, “pay”, and “management styles”. These are all areas we take very seriously here at honeygrow. I would love to set up a time to discuss, if you are open to that, please reach out to me at wtitgen@honeygrow. I look forward to hopefully hearing back from you. Thank you once again for taking the time to send these comments! Have a great day and a nice week. Sincerely, Warren

Hi, my name is Warren, honeygrow's Director of Talent Management. First, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to write this review on glassdoor. It's due to honest feedback from current and/or former employees like you that allow us to learn and grow! I hope you had a great holiday season over the last few weeks! I apologize for the slight delay in my response; the holidays were a bit hectic for my young family and I, in addition to some work thrown in as well! The “pros” you have mentioned above are what honeygrow prides itself on! We at honeygrow are so glad to hear you are experiencing what we set out to accomplish; our brand is built upon the fresh, local, cooked to order ingredients you mentioned. You also hit on another topic we take great pride in: teamwork, communication, and our collaborative approach to business. I am so glad to hear this feedback. Even more so than the pros of the business, I really appreciate your input on the cons/advice to management - you are 100% correct. Know that we have been working diligently to constantly improve our training program. We are still a young company and we are always learning from our experiences. I would love to connect and hear if you have any suggestions/input, I can directly share your feedback with our training staff. If you are comfortable in doing so, please e-mail at wtitgen@honeygrow.com. Thank you again for the feedback. Have a wonderful day! Sincerely, Warren
