The marketing department runs the show. All the great reviews were written or forced by the marketing department. That not only holds true for Glass Door, but for all the reviews you read about the software and the company on other sites. After this review is posted, the marketing department will make sure that there are multiple reviews to the contrary, bragging about the wonders of the company to improving its rating, but don't be deceived they aren't real. It is entirely different on the inside. Here is the truth
1. Does not provide the right tools to do the job (no CRM)
2. No interest in employee's career development, no learning opportunities. The worst part is that anything you might learn on the job is probably wrong since the leadership is inexperienced and just makes it up as they go along. Working for a company with such inexperience at the top will stall your professional development.
3. Inexperienced executive leadership that shoot from the hip rather than make educated, experienced decisions.
4. Revolving door policy. They hire tons of people, even recruiting people from other, stable jobs with false promises, then executives change their mind and fire them without cause
5. Recommendations and ideas for improvement will get you punished. Those with experience are particularly vulnerable. The company prefers to hire inexperienced people who are impressed by the free drinks and childish marketing tactics
6. Redundancy and overlap in job descriptions because of siloed departments, absence of communication, collaboration and inexperienced leadership
7. Zero checks and balances
8. Inconsistent, undefined manager expectations and fake job descriptions
9. No research or planning before jumping into the next big thing. It is just expected that the employees will clean up the messes the executives create and when the employee can't clean up the mess, they are fired.
10. Executive leadership takes no responsibility for their poor decisions instead they blame the staff and fire them
11. Work hours are util 6pm. This might seem like a small complaint, but that extra hour really hurts work-life balance
12. No commitment to the employees they hire. They are very quick to fire people and hire new ones rather than using the talent they already have.
Do not take a job here if you have a stable job somewhere else or if you have any experience. You will regret the decision.
