Pros

You get to work with children and they just brighten up your day. Great for you if you've gotten into Computer Science to teach.

Cons

Very stingy with money. They do NOT pay you enough. Please listen when I say this. A lot of instructors work here because they think they make 12~15 dollars per hour while just babysitting. That is not the case. You are allowed to come in 30 minutes early into work to learn the very material that you're supposed to teach (you can't prepare it on your own because it's a "secret"). After you are done with your class, you can write the mandatory class review while clocked in for 30 minutes. Even if you have another class coming up, they will ask you to leave and come back. They also check through cameras and clock-in records to see if you did that; which means they'll warn you if you came in too early or stayed overtime. I started working here during college to put something on my resume and I loved teaching kids but honestly it is not worth it. Your future employers will not count this as a professional job experience either.

Pros

None. This company doesn't care about employees.

Cons

Where to start, the communication is terrible. Was thrown into a class I wasn't trained for. Was never notified about anything. They claim to care about their employees but really don't.

Pros

The curriculum is the only pro.

Cons

This is a franchise so I cannot speak for other locations. The location I was employed at was “East Frisco” which also housed the corporate offices. Though during my interview it was conveyed to me that they wanted a good work/team environment and company culture. It was completely the opposite. It should have been a red flag for me when the front desk staff told me there were two recent directors, in her words, one lasted three days and the other a month. I stayed for the amount of time I did because I believed in the curriculum. Besides that horrible hours, no benefits, misogynistic, not a team environment, and inappropriate comments were made to female staff members. Very unprofessional place of business with questionable practices.
