Learn All You Can, Make Friends, Then Move On

Pros

-Promotion from within (interns can become part-timers, part-timers can become full-timers) -The skills you learn look great on a resume -You are given a lot of responsibility and any project ideas you have are always welcome -Everyone is extremely friendly and easy to deal with overall (which has personally been the biggest plus) -Experience of working for a large entertainment and media company -Leftover tickets to local events and concerts -Great benefits (if you are young with relatively few health issues)

Cons

-No raises, not even a small cost of living increase. Be prepared to be stuck with your starting salary for years. Pay cuts have been known to happen as well. It's an open secret to never ask for more money. This is why there are no performance reviews. -Expect to be on call and answer e-mails 24/7 - or hear about it from managers if you don't. Best of luck to you if you want a personal life. -Management in the building is approachable, but they have no real power...the power lies in the faceless corporate managers that you will never see or meet. If anyone promises you anything, don't believe them. -"Too many chiefs, too few indians" - often had to report to 4+ managers for things and this can get overwhelming, especially when they are not all on the same page -Everyone does the job of about 3-4 people, the workload can be brutally crushing -Part timers really get screwed

Pros

Clear Channel facilities valuable training, provides resources that make selling and being knowledgeable about various industries possible. The departments set in place work cohesively together creating an environment where the best quality product, platforms and stations are produced

Cons

Some movement of accounts is unfounded, too many daily reports. Checks & Balances are necessary but often become monotonous and un-needed. Promotions department is often too "snobby" and frequently turn away businesses because they don't like the client.

Cut Throat Environment!

Pros

It is a good opportunity to work for some of the top radio stations in the marketplace and attend fun events.

Cons

Management encourages a cut throat atmosphere putting one sales rep against another. They do not have any systems in place to protect or manage the sales reps leads.
