Pros

Clearly defined expectations: things like getting to work when we're scheduled, being on time, be professional, have integrity, work hard, do our best work each day. I have friends who work similar jobs in other companies, and pay seems to be pretty on par. Very nice and comfortable office in a nice building, with a very pretty view. Very open communication at every level of the company. Very diverse group of employees. By my calculation, for example, 4 out of 8 senior managers are women and therefore 4 are men. Just the right mix of quirky people to keep the days interesting and entertaining. An organization that provides the opportunity for people just entering the corporate job market to get real, practical, valuable insight by being exposed to small company like ours, and the very large companies (our clients). Because we're small, the atmosphere is determined by each of us. If we choose to have a good day and enjoy the office environment, then we will. Never a need to look over your shoulder and wonder if someone is throwing you under the bus. Good benefits. mindWireless puts together very fun opportunities for us all to participate -- like sunset/happy hour views from the cliff above the 360 bridge, bowling, roller skating, tasty dinners, periodic lunches, etc. Working for a company that strives to be one of the best at what we do -- because a good work ethic for a company is as important as it is for an individual. Nearly every position filled is an internal move, filled by existing employees (rather than hired from outside).

Cons

Because it's a small company, there are some things handled differently than at larger organizations. For example: Internal processes are sometimes less formalized than those at large companies where there are whole departments to mange them. The company is very careful about spending money. The tools we use DO work, they're just not always the latest and greatest -- and sometimes require greater effort. Even one person having a bad day can affect everyone, so you really have to make an effort to maintain professionalism, and be courteous, etc. If you are looking for a place that is more social club where everyone sits in bean bag chairs and has foosball desks, keep looking. This is an office where work is done. Unlike giant corporations where people are promoted just because they've been around awhile, I've seen mindWireless employees -- even good ones -- have to wait for a position to open up. Sometimes there is more work to go around than people, so expectations to work hard are high. Each team is dependent upon everyone to pull their weight, so if one person slacks off, it is noticeable.

Pros

I've been a manager for this company for 8 years and I love it. Senior management is supportive and encourages innovative thinking. If you have a positive attitude and you're a team player, this is the company for you!

Cons

They have great benefits, just no retirement plan.

Pros

I have grown both personally & professionally while working here. If you are a hard worker there is plenty of opportunity. They hire young, strategic thinkers with willingness to help the customer. Rewards have come based on my effort.

Cons

If you want someone standing over you telling you what to do every minute of the day, this is not the company for you. It can be difficult at first, but you get out what you put in.
