Pros

- great culture - engaging work - friendly co-workers - good management - pretty laid-back, nobody wears a suit and tie or anything - diverse tech-stack, it's not just Salesforce - you can really get into a lot of other things and pick up some skills

Cons

- low pay relative to the rest of the industry, however, NC is a cheaper state to live - expectation is to be in-person 5 days a week, however, the office is really nice - extremely slow upward momentum, especially in recent years - questionable job security, they have not been shy about laying people off in recent years which is scary to see

Thank you for your post and we are sorry to hear that you felt the only positive with the company would have been if you had been here prior to nCino going public. We are happy to report that in a recent employee engagement survey, the Product Development and Engineering department ranked the highest in overall employee engagement. It sounds like things are going very well. We hope that you were able to find another opportunity that enabled you to earn more pre-IPO equity and wish you all the very best in your future career endeavors!

Pros

*Caveat - I am part of the lucky few designated officially remote, even after the large in-office push. My review would be much different if this was not the case. -Great work life balance and understanding managers -Plenty of opportunity to learn and grow within the company -Some of the best employee benefits -Remote

Cons

-Executive leadership is failing to follow through on some things, mainly transparency in salary bands within the company -Not even allowing for a hybrid work environment for those within 35 miles of the office. Company LOVES the culture cool-aid, but fails to actually listen to employees.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. Your feedback matters! We are so glad that you feel there is so much opportunity to grown and develop within the company. We hope that you are also seeing more tools to assist in managing your own career - and more are on the way. Regarding the transparency of salary bands - we have made the new ranges available to leaders as we were able to complete their training. Unfortunately, because we are entering the busiest time for the company, we don't have the time to complete the training for employees on the new ranges. We have had to push the timing of that out on the calendar and this training is necessary before simply providing the ranges. You will see this training coming live to our employees in the near future and then the salary ranges shared. Finally, we feel we provide so many forums for nCino employees to share their thoughts and ideas. From Town Halls, to CEO water cooler conversations, to divisional town halls, to surveys - we try to offer varied opportunities to engage with employees as we want to hear from them. And, from their impact, we have made numerous changes to things to try and continue to create an environment where employees feel engaged, energized and supported. However, like every company, we have a business to run and there are times when a decision that may be unpopular to some is the right thing to do for the business. That doesn't mean that we aren't listening. We recognize that we have innovative, hard-working, results-oriented individuals who comprise our amazing global workforce . We hope that when we focus on all of the things we do in fact offer as part of nCino's Employee Value Proposition, the entirety of what we offer will clearly outweigh those occasions when we disagree with a decision is made for the better of the organization , Thank you again for taking the time to post your feedback. We do hear you and appreciate your feedback!
