Pros

Good co-workers who understand what needs to be done and generally, get it done. Benefits package is excellent! Between insurance, 401k and stock purchase options, the benefits are the best I’ve ever experienced in my career. Office environment is excellent, even the ‘old’ building isn’t old. The workspaces are spacious, plenty of collaborative areas, break rooms on every floor, wellness rooms, parking garage (with EV charging stations), free snacks, free coffee, free drinks, happy hour on Friday…. Not to mention a brand-new building extension with plenty of green space outside for open-air lunches, ‘clear your head’, or team time. Extremely generous PTO plan, along with flex holidays and 2 volunteer days a year. Overall, great executive leadership who understand that every decision has an impact and are willing to ‘own’ their decisions.

Cons

All the recent ‘negative’ reviewers. Most of the negative reviewers have no idea how corporations work. They want to stay in the ‘startup’ and ‘cowboy’ days where everyone can do whatever they want. We are now a publicly owned company which means the rules must change, like it or not. Most everyone was also hired with an understanding that their job is an in-office job. The pandemic and the need for space resulted in all of us working from home and then transitioning to a ‘hybrid’ model. This was never intended to be a permanent situation. Therefore, the CEO has the absolute right to expect the original intention of folks being in the office. This is where that core value of ‘do the right thing’ is totally subjective. You may think the ‘right thing’ is to allow you to WFH, well the CEO thinks the ‘right thing’ is to be in office, and he wins. Extremely vocal, liberal, ‘woke’ contingent that always seem to be given a platform to push their agendas. That leaves those who don’t agree to feel stifled in being able to express their different beliefs, due to appearing to not respect those they may disagree with.

Pros

I have been with nCino for over 5 years and I cannot say enough great things about this team, atmosphere, and the company itself. If you work hard and take advantage of all the resources they provide you, you will succeed in the role. Be a sponge and soak in everything you can and luckily everyone on the team I've interacted with has been willing to help or teach me something if it's outside of my knowledge wheel. Highly recommend.

Cons

I wouldn't say this is a con, but it's a very fast paced environment and the product is always growing . If you are not adapt to take on change frequently and be a sponge for new knowledge, this may not be a fit. However, if you do enjoy this type of work place, it's a lot of fun!
