      Pros

      Large enough to provide a good support system, but not so large that it turns into a slow moving bureaucracy. Coworkers are friendly, helpful and committed to good quality work.

      Cons

      Career advancement is not clear cut. Lot of it is relationship based.

      Working with highly experienced people. Opportunity to learn new stuff.

      No benefits like bonuses and stock plans for new grads. Growth in the organization is very slow. Working on very old technologies.

      Great stepping stone in career development, poor job security

      -Great place to build resume -Good salary, decent benefits -Knowledgeable coworkers and staff -Opportunities to act in several managerial and analyst roles -Gave me a decent severance package after laying me off, even though my tenure was only 5 months

      Cons

      -Absolutely no job security, no tenure is safe -Layoffs are very frequent -Almost every new hire I met quit after a few months -Low morale, somewhat depressing atmosphere -Constant griping and complaining behind managers' backs, especially from engineers -Bureaucracy is pretty rampant, especially with frequent organizational shakeups -Rivalry within parts of the company, especially due to cultural differences -Strong push to offshore analyst and manager positions to Shenzhen, including the one I held.
