Thank you for taking the time to share your point of view. Ensuring employees understand their value and are performing to the best of their abilities is essential. Satellite offices (like in Las Vegas) can be a communication challenge. That's part of the reason we're centralizing our core teams in Redwood City, CA and Park City, UT. Again, appreciate the feedback. We're already seeing the benefits of the move.

Great place to work, if you don't mind working

Pros

The technology is really cool. Have worked here for over a year and I'm learning every day. If you want to code and can handle your own business this is a great place to work. Excellent opportunities for front end, platform, and data science engineers. Executive team, all the way up to the CEO, is invested in success.

Cons

Some haven't lasted that long at Banjo. I've found the reasons to be more about the employee than the company. There is no sugar coating when hiring and those that leave usually just can cut it.

We have a unique culture, with everyone working hard towards Banjo’s vision and mission. We thank you for providing insight on those that have left, and you are right, some just can’t cut it. We are very upfront with our expectations in our hiring process and only want our people to succeed, but sometimes a fast paced startup isn’t for everyone. Thank you for being a part of #teambanjo! Challenge Yourself

Pros

The best reason to work at Banjo is to challenge yourself. Not necessarily to work longer or harder -- that's not the point. It's to do better. I like what Banjo's founder recently said at Stanford, "What is the best thing you can do? Not for yourself, but for mankind." I'd only amend that to suggest you can help others while also doing what's right for you. That's why I work here. Every day I'm challenged with new issues to overcome and solving them links directly back to helping society.

Cons

Banjo is a start-up. If you get caught up in the momentary swings as Banjo disrupts the status quo, then Banjo isn't your gig. There's nothing wrong with slow and steady -- that's just not the race we're winning.
