Giving false hope

Pros

Great bunch of people and good pay.

Cons

The executive team and board gives false hope. Tell the team that Banjo is in great financial shape and that were all in this together only to wipe out a good portion of the staff 3 days later.

TeamBanjo has always consisted of a "great bunch of people, " but unfortunately, a recent reduction in force meant we had to say goodbye to several unbelievably innovative and thoughtful individuals. We understand that this period of uncertainty has introduced unexpected challenges for everyone which is why our executive team strives for transparency via company-wide updates as new information is made available. We could not anticipate the current state of affairs or the impact it would have on our team. That said, we are continuing to serve as a resource for our employees both past and present to offer support in any way possible.

Neat stuff, but not living up to its promises

Pros

neat tech, neat purpose / mission. banjo is looking to create a god's eye view of the earth through social media. the concept is very inspiring.

Cons

the tech isn't living up to the hype. it'll be a great service for news organizations to get a leg up, and for people who want to have an idea of what's going on around them. however, much of what they do is pretty basic and doesn't really square with the grandiose vision that they're selling.

It’s unfortunate to hear your take on Banjo, because we certainly aren’t basic and we have been dominating the news industry for several years. We are sorry you didn’t have a better understanding of the impact we are making around the globe. We certainly make a very concerted effort to provide details like these in the all-hands meetings and as one reviewer said, “(Banjo) keeps all employees up-to-date on all current events. This is a reminder for sales to schedule more demos with the engineering team so you can see how the product is being used in the world today.

Pros

I have only been working at Banjo for less than a year, I cannot say enough positive things about this incredible company! Not only is the office in beautiful Park City, UT; overlooking the beautiful mountains, but also everyone is highly intelligent and passionate about what they do! Banjo is a community that is driven by its mission, “saving lives and reducing human suffering". Banjo brings people together with different backgrounds to collaborate and achieve our mission. Everyone at Banjo is a go-getter and truly wants to change the world to be a better place. Banjo is a fast paced company with high expectations but with that said, everyone is always willing to help one another in solving important issues that are impacting both your community and others around the world. Banjo is growing and I can’t wait to see what the future brings!
