Company doesn't care about stability
Pros
The culture and people are great. Company is very open to working remotely, with many employees being 100% remote. The office space is amazing. The company is making a lot of money and growing. There are opportunities to grow everywhere, if you're willing to work for them.
Cons
All new software development positions are being added in India. US developers are too expensive. Periodic layoffs - In order for the company to acquire more companies and grow the software portfolio, they periodically cut the lowest performers to reduce overall budget No actual time off - it's very easy to get burnt out here due to on shore and off shore development, you will get email and IMs 24/7. The company is constantly trying to push for more output from less people and expects people to work nights and weekends. Many of the senior leaders in the Overland Park office are former Cerner and DST leaders, they have brought those work cultures with them to symplr.
