Pros

The only plus side to this company is that you get to work on electronic devices from different backgrounds and you learn different skills that will carry with you to other jobs.

Cons

The owner of the Orland Park location has no technology background and has no understanding of how things work, offers a horrible pay schedule and work week (work week starts on Wednesday and ends on Tuesday the following week and you get paid every 15th and 30th). High stress because of the owner who has no clue and customer who complain every day. The owner at the Ubreakifix location would be little her employees and act as if no one knew what they were doing, and she would instruct her employees to rip people off. Our company policy said that if a device was not broken and if we repair a device but the device broke while being repair than we would replace the device at no cost to the customer but that did not happen (owner cheated the customers out of their devices being replace). The owner at the Orland Park location cannot grasp the thought that people do not want to work every day while others get to enjoy their weekend off. The company policy states this: Pay Rate: $9/hr for training; $10/hr thereafter; with salary Increases every 6 Months however the owner at the Orland Park location was to cheap and did not give anyone raises until a year had passed by that time all the good employees were either gone or leaving. If you want to work in an environment where the owner of this Ubreakifix location will be little you, make you work every day, give you tons of stress because she has no idea how to work a computer, cheat you any and every way out of your money than this is the place for you but if you have respect for yourself and others apply elsewhere.

Pros

-Training for cell phone repair on the job -Quick onboarding -Get certified with Samsung and Google

Cons

-Abysmal pay for what you do. Don't expect much, if anything, over minimum wage despite preforming a highly technical job with a lot of other responsibilities tacked on. You will be expected to repair any device that waltzes through the door, usually same day or next day, all for that. You can make more flipping burgers or bussing tables than replacing screens. The "up to" salary is only because they will try and force you to sell a home insurance program on commission that nobody wants long term, prioritizing sales instead of retention or repairs. They will even penalize you for not selling enough, even if you are repairing phones on time without error. -Asurion ownership prioritizes insurance sales over repairs and doesn't care about the franchises. Asurion bought this company in 2019 and has been trying to transform it ever since. Expect to be forced to try and sell extended warranties instead of do repairs.
