Happy Women’s History Month! To support female representation in the workforce, Women of Bay announced their plans for a fundraising event that will benefit Dress for Success, a non-profit organization which has helped more than 1.2 million women work towards self-sufficiency since starting operations in 1997. Dress for Success empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the developmental tools to help women thrive in work and in life. The campaign will run through March and has received over $6,000 from Bay Alarm employees donating an hour's worth of pay to support the organization and their pursuit to uplift women around the world.
At Bay Alarm, we come from all walks of life with a common focus to complete daily tasks, represent the company and to connect with not only customers but the colleagues with whom we spend a majority of our day. Bay Alarm’s newest Employee Resource Group (ERG), Cultures of Bay (COB), was created to build on that sense of connectedness. The mission of COB is to honor all cultures, with a focus on People of Color and Indigenous Communities, being a group that gathers like a family at the dinner table; a place where all voices are heard and celebrated. Recognizing cultural diversity and promoting inclusion along with providing educational, inspirational and community resources to empower each other, COB will be a time to come together and engage with one another, forming comradery not only within the workplace but sharing about the diversity we represent outside the office.
Our focus remains on keeping our employees and our customers safe. We have taken many precautions, such as moving many employees to working remotely, keeping our buildings clean, limiting visitors and moving most meetings to be virtual, requiring masks in the building and having all employees complete required COVID training. We will remain vigilant to ensure the safety of our employees and our customers.
