BlueWater was awarded a 5-year contract to provide Drupal, web, and mobile app development and sustainment support for the FEMA's Office of External Affairs websites, applications, and mobile apps. We are proud to have supported FEMA and its critical mission since 2007, and look forward to continuing our support to improve and modernize FEMA's communication channels to better serve the American public, state and local agencies, and emergency responders before, during, and after disasters. The BlueWater team also re-launched a top-to-bottom redesign of FEMA's website which incorporates a new unified design system, plain language approach to content, and geolocating filters to personalize the experience. Check it out at: https://www.fema.gov/. Great job to all those who contributed to building out the site!
For today's employee spotlight, we'd like to recognize the efforts of BlueWater's Program Manager, Duke McIntyre, and the entire 28th Operational Weather Squadron (OWS) team at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Duke and his team have continued to report to work supporting the 24x7 mission of the 28th OWS, while adhering to strict personal safety guidelines. We are grateful for the OWS team's round-the-clock effort providing weather support to the USCENTCOM AOR through scripting, weather system administration, and meteorological forecasting. BlueWater is proud to have Duke and the OWS crew on our team!

Take a look at one of the amazing projects our team supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA) has been working on! DHA is a joint, integrated Combat Support Agency that enables the Army, Navy, and Air Force medical services to provide a ready medical force to Combatant Commands. BlueWater is proud to support DHA by providing IT solutions to ensure the health and safety of our Nation’s servicemembers and their families. Special thanks to BlueWater’s Program Manager Patty Nowak and her team for your efforts in developing this innovative app!
We want to take a minute to #shoutout to BlueWater’s corporate Administrative Assistant Heather Trumble! For the past few months, Heather has worked hard to keep BlueWater safe and healthy by spearheading efforts to obtain PPE, disinfectants, and other products from our vendors. She even learned to sew in order to make 50+ masks for the BlueWater team! Thank you for all you do, Heather!

Wes has done an amazing job in a minimum amount of time on the job. Since beginning in December of 2018 he hit the ground running. Wes required little to no supervision and was able to quickly take control of our self-contained classified Network, quickly repairing malfunctioning servers and organizing and inventorying all of the equipment and parts. He was able to rebuild and refurbish the two conference room systems and has ID'd replacement equipment for Life cycle replacement. Overall, Wes has tackled every challenge and taken the initiative when needed to improve our systems and spaces." Wes, thanks for your hard work in support of our SOCOM program.
