"On the day we received the new benefit for Naturalization for our Associates, I posted the flyer in the breakroom and thought, 'What a great benefit!' and didn’t think of it again. The next day, Nanit, our Lead RA on day shift came to me with it and told me she wanted to do it. So I quickly educated myself on the benefit and sent in the request for approval. We printed off the forms she still needed, and the approval process was very quick and easy. A few days later, Kalisi came into my office to scan a few forms for her naturalization, and I told her to use the new program. We quickly had it approved that week. Both associates thought they would have to wait months to go in for their naturalization and both found out they were able to go to Medford, which was only an hour and half away. Both tested on same day! I took Kalisi to her appt and Nanit’s husband took her. I was able to play a practice test on Spotify the whole way there and Kalisi rocked it. By the time we got there, I was able to pass too. Nanit passed with flying colors earlier in the day, and Kalisi ACED the test in less than 5 minutes. While I was waiting for Kalisi, an associate asked me who I was and we talked about Brookdale’s new benefit. She was very impressed and couldn’t believe a company would care so much about their associates.
