Congratulations to Megan Kemp, R.N., for receiving the CNRV Daisy Award! Here's what one of her patients said about Meg, "Meg was a complete professional to me. Congratulations to Roy Dillard, C.A., for receiving the CRMH Bee Award! Here's what the nominee had to say about Roy: "Roy transports patients on a daily basis from 6 South OPS to the echo department. If the patient is nervous, Roy takes the time to put them at ease with his calming demeanor and soft voice. We have a good amount of patients who need to return for additional procedures. They always remember Roy and ask for him by name. They want to make sure he will be transporting them again. In the few minutes Roy spends with the patient he will learn something special about them such as a story about a pet or a family member. When the patients return for another procedure, they are impressed that he remembers them and their story. His genuine kindness does not go unnoticed. In addition to taking exceptional care of the patients he also is kind and caring to the staff. He knows if someone is having a bad day and will offer kind words to cheer them up. I always say that if they had a nomination for Mr. Carilion, Roy would win hands down. You can tell he loves his job.
Congratulations to Katie Farnsworth, R.N., for receiving the CNRV Daisy Award! Here's what one of her patients said about Katie, "I am a 60-year-old. I contracted the COVID virus from my husband. Both of us were fully vaccinated and preparing to get our booster shots but had not found the Moderna Booster in our area. I was at the Infusion center obtain the monoclonal antibody infusion. Katie was my nurse. She was so kind that I just felt compelled to recognize her for her excellent nursing care. She was very attentive. She explained everything that would take place. I was excited about seeing my granddaughter for Thanksgiving, she shared in my excitement and related stories about her own child who was of similar age. She met my physical as well as emotional needs, as she cared for me. I would highly recommend her and say she is an 'extraordinary nurse!'" Join us in congratulating Katie!
