With support from the Air Force Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer Program, FTI produced a modeling and simulation capability to allow military operations planners to more realistically assess potential maintenance and logistics situations in combat. Also known as ISWAT, for Integrated Sustainment Wargaming Analysis Toolkit, this analytical model addresses the overall impact of sustainment systems on the Air Force’s ability to conduct prolonged operations. FTI matured ISWAT with additional support from the Air Force SBIR/STTR Commercialization Readiness Program and the Air Force Rapid Innovation Fund so it could be used by Air Force Materiel Command.
What an AWESOME day today at VAP, "Value Added Packaging," kicking off our Charity event for our local Dayton Children's Hospital drive. We will be partnering with their team to begin collecting items for the next month. These items will be built into FTI/VAP Care Packages, where we will then hand deliver them to families who have unexpected stays at Dayton Children's. Also, a BIG Thank You to Franki who represents Dayton Children's who spoke to the whole group on how these care packages will benefit those families during hard times. Team FTI was thrilled to be able to tour VAP's facility and see what hard work they do for our local community and organizations. Not only do they pride themselves in their work for their customers, community and team members, but they have a strong CULTURE like team FTI. FTI and VAP putting FTI's 4th C to work, Charity!!
A year after moving its headquarters from California to the Dayton area, Frontier Technology Inc. has added more than a dozen employees, increased its revenue by nearly 50%. Frontier Technology, a Beavercreek-based technology firm that provides services to the U.S. Department of Defense, hired 16 new employees at its local office in the last nine months, and is looking to bring on another 20 to 30 people over the next year to 18 months. If the hiring spree continues as projected, the company would jump from 40 people to as high as 70 employees. With more employees comes the need for additional space. Around six months ago, FTI rented a spot on the third floor of its building at 4141 Colonel Glenn Highway to go along with its first floor space. The expansion grew the company's office footprint from 5,190 square feet to 13,035 square feet, a 250 percent increase. Now, the tech firm is looking to occupy even more square footage on the building's second floor. "As we grow nationwide, the infrastructure to support the company is growing right here in Beavercreek," said Mike Shirley.
