I never imagined that today, 18 years later, I would be leading all of IKEA U.S. Logistics; responsible for 50 retail stores, 8 warehouses, 9 customer distribution centers and 5 central parcel units across the country. During my journey, I also worked in Sweden, Germany, Poland and even China. IKEA offered me the encouragement and tools to pursue my leadership role in logistics; often a non-traditional career path for women.
