Two participants at our Inland Empire PACE center earned medals in the 2018 Community Senior Olympics in California! Joan received a gold medal for assisted walking, which consists of walking ¼ mile and an obstacle course. Henry also received a gold medal for basketball and placed in both ring toss and football. Together, they even won a sliver medal in a four-person relay 😮

Last week, InnovAge's PACE center in Roanoke Valley, Va. hosted the LEAP Mobile Market, a local nonprofit that brings fresh produce and eggs to food deserts and low-income neighborhoods. InnovAge's dietitian led a class on healthy eating with ingredients purchased at the market, and participants and staff had a blast. The Roanoke Valley PACE center looks forward to having them back on a monthly basis!
