Faces of Kimble is all about the people behind the work. This month, we’re featuring Bruce Ickes, Roll Off Driver. With just over one year at Kimble, Bruce plays a key role in keeping our communities running by safely and efficiently servicing roll-off routes each day. Bruce begins every shift with a detailed pre-trip inspection, ensuring his truck is ready and safe before hitting the road. He brings a strong sense of focus and awareness to his work, knowing that staying alert to surroundings and changing conditions is critical to the job. He describes his role as both mental and physical, with each day presenting new challenges and goals to accomplish. What Bruce enjoys most is the independence his role offers and the trust to manage his route and make decisions in the field. He values Kimble’s culture and the opportunity to take ownership of his work while contributing to a team that prioritizes safety and reliability. Outside of work, Bruce enjoys spending time outdoors and with his family. He takes great pride in his son’s accomplishments, including competing in international golf and basketball tournaments, creating memories they will always cherish. Bruce’s advice to others is simple: stay humble, because every day is different. His dedication and commitment to safety help keep Kimble moving forward every day.
Day in the Life: Renewable Natural Gas Plant Operator Behind the scenes at Kimble, our RNG Plant Operators help turn landfill gas into clean, usable energy that powers our fleet and supports our communities. Working 24/7 in rotating shifts, these team members monitor plant operations, troubleshoot systems, and perform maintenance to keep everything running safely and efficiently. This role combines technical skill, problem solving, and hands-on work, all while helping reduce emissions and support renewable energy efforts. Their work may happen behind the scenes, but the impact is felt every day. 💚♻️

Our Routing Team starts each day with one goal: creating safe, efficient routes that keep Kimble’s operations running smoothly and our communities serviced on time. From reviewing data and adjusting routes to responding to driver feedback and service changes, the team works behind the scenes to plan, test, and refine every route. They collaborate closely with drivers, operations, customer service, and sales to ensure each route is set up for success. “Every adjustment we make helps improve safety and efficiency,” one team member shared. “It’s about making each route better than the last.” Here’s to the planners and problem-solvers behind every pickup at Kimble.
Nothing ugly about this kind of holiday spirit 🎄💚 Thank you to our employees for joining in on National Ugly Sweater Day and helping spread some festive fun across Kimble.
While many people don’t think twice about where their trash ends up, our Landfill Operators are out there every day making sure waste is managed safely, efficiently, and responsibly. Their day starts early with equipment checks. Bulldozers, compactors, and earthmovers all need to be in top shape. Once operations begin, it’s a coordinated effort: compacting waste, applying daily cover, managing drainage systems, and keeping everything in compliance with environmental regulations. “It’s not just dumping waste,” says one operator. “We’re managing an entire ecosystem, and we take pride in doing it right.” Big machines, big responsibilities and a big thank-you to the folks making it all happen. #EnvironmentalResponsibility #DayInTheLife #HeavyEquipmentHeroes
Another great year at the Dover Christmas Parade! 🎄✨ Thank you to all our employees and families who bundled up, showed up, and spread holiday cheer along the route. We’re proud to be part of this community!
📞 A Day in the Life: Kimble’s Customer Service Team 💬 While our trucks are rolling through neighborhoods, our Customer Service team is just as busy behind the scenes — answering phones, responding to messages, and helping customers get the support they need. From customer issues to new service requests, no two days are ever the same. Whether it’s helping a new homeowner get set up or tracking down a recycling schedule, the team brings patience, problem-solving skills, and a whole lot of smiles to the job every day. “Our customers are our neighbors,” says one rep. “We’re here to make their day a little easier.” Thank you to the voices behind the phones who help keep Kimble running smoothly! 💚 #CustomerServiceTeam #DayInTheLife #PeopleBehindTheProcess See less
