Lane County is currently seeking applications from Local Farmers to participate on the Farm Advisory Board. The Farm Review Board is critical to the work done in Assessment & Taxation around establishing average rent rates for land used for farming. Without local farmers sharing their expertise, experience, and knowledge, rates are established based on previous years’ averages. This Board meets annually to: • Discuss opportunities and challenges facing local Farming communities • Advise Lane County on Farm rent percentages • Discuss soil classifications The selected individuals will be required to attend one meeting on April 25, 2018, at 9:00 am, and another in April of 2019.
