After starting at Northwell in 2013 as a project access trainer in Activation Change Management, Cheree O. Mason has grown her career to become a training manager in Coding Reimbursement. In her current role, Cheree organizes and manages the Coding Reimbursement educational program operations. Here she coordinates and instructs in educational initiatives, including coding accuracy and related courses. One of the her proudest achievements is implementing and supporting 3 applications within the health system to provide outstanding care to patients. Starting her career at Southside Hospital in 2009 while she was still earning her Master's in Social Work, today Katelyn is the training program administrator for the Family Medicine Residency Program. One of her proudest achievements was winning the "Shining Star Award" at Southside Hospital in 2014 for going above and beyond for a patient. Throughout her career, Katelyn has learned that opportunities for growth exist no matter your role in the health system. Her advice for growing your career? Starting her career as a registered nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Peconic Bay Medical Center, today Emily is a nurse educator in the ICU, PCU and 2 South. In her current role, she conducts orientation for on-boarding staff working for PBMC and helps to advance the staff by creating classes and in-services related to the staff needs. During her time at Northwell, Emily has learned, "with the support and encouragement of your peers at Northwell you can make all your dreams come true!" And she's still working towards even bigger dreams! Emily is currently enrolled in her Educated Doctorates Degree at Aspen University and is working towards her Certification in Nursing Education (CNE).
