In January, PDS-supported dentists and clinicians in Southern California partnered with KABOOM! to provide a new playground to the residents of Homeland, CA at the Community First Church of God. Over 150 volunteers participated in the build! We are honored to support clinicians and team members who choose to help others through their time and talents beyond the dental office.

MemorialCare and Pacific Dental Services Join Forces to Advance Dental-Medical Integration and Improve Overall Health of Patients ~ At least 25 fully integrated primary health/dental locations to open over five years with coordinated care powered by Epic’s comprehensive health records system. ~ This unique joint venture between a regional healthcare system and national dental support organization on the same electronic health records system is the first of its kind. ~ Decades of clinical research has determined oral health is a critical component of overall health. Now physicians and dentists who historically have worked in silos, will be able to easily communicate potentially life-saving information about their shared patients.

We're thrilled to announce a partnership with our 700th PDS-supported owner dentist, Stacey Howes, DDS, FAGD! Dr. Howes joined PDS in August 2020 and is now the active owner dentist of River Point Dental Group and Orthodontics in Sheridan, Colorado. Her passion for mentorship was a key reason she decided to join PDS. In her new role, she looks forward to guiding new dentists and helping them achieve their highest career potential, all while providing the highest level of patient care to the community. Congratulations to the twenty-eight graduates of the Lead Dental Assistant Development Program, a fourteen-week training initiative that seeks to develop leadership skills, business acumen and overall excellence within dental assistants who participate in the program. We could not be more proud of their accomplishments and commitment to caring for the health and wellbeing of the communities they serve.
