There's no better way to celebrate Intern Day than by recognizing our 43 POET interns! This year’s group is taking part in a wide range of roles spread across 14 POET locations in six states. A POET internship is an opportunity for students to work alongside a community of passionate professionals while cultivating the attributes necessary to be leaders at work, at home, and in their communities. We've enjoyed working with these bright-minded young people this summer – thanks for all you do, interns! #POETproud
"If we can get bioethanol's CI score down, it can continue to be a viable fuel for the future...that means the corn industry is viable, which helps agriculture, which is good for everyone in the Midwest. We can't do that without progress. We can't do that without investing in the future for farmers." –Tim Burrack, Iowa Farmer In addition to its environmental benefits, the large-scale capture of CO2, a natural co-product of bioethanol production, has become an ever-increasing value add for farmers and the ag industry. When grain is delivered to a POET bioprocessing facility, no kernel goes to waste! While the starch is used to produce bioethanol fuel and purified alcohol, the process also results in a suite of bioproducts that includes corn oil, high-quality animal feed, bioCO2, and more. Everything is renewable, plant-based, and made right here in America's heartland! 🌽♻️ #POETproud Learn more at poet.com/products-services
"What we see the least in the shop and get the fewest calls about on our radio show are fuel system issues. The increased use of bioethanol today has helped to keep engines clean, and we believe it’s why we see fewer failures." –Russ Evans, Under The Hood Radio Show Host & Mechanic Check out the latest issue of Vital to learn why the Motor Medics continue to recommend choosing bioethanol to save you money, protect your vehicle investment, and clean the air we breathe! 🚗🌱
The existing internal combustion engine vehicle (ICEV) fleet will still be on the road for many years to come. That's why, according to a new report from Transportation Energy, expanded usage of biofuels presents the most promising near-term option to reduce the existing fleet's carbon emissions. Moving the nationwide fuel supply from 10% bioethanol to 15% and adding carbon capture technology can further enhance those benefits. Our transportation sector is complex, dynamic, and long-standing, but biofuels have and continue to serve as an essential tool for decarbonization. Learn more:
The best way to stay safe around a grain bin is to never go inside it. But never entering a grain bin isn’t always feasible — particularly when it needs to be cleaned. That's why, thanks to innovative new technology derived from POET's commitment to safety, we're currently in the process of upgrading our bin sweep technology. The zero-entry design allows for increased efficiency while reducing downtime, maximizing productivity, and — most importantly — increasing safety across the board.
