Today is National Recycling Day. Reusing and recycling energy as effectively as humanly possible is very important to us at POET. POET Bioprocessing – Chancellor uses recycled wood — broken pallets, construction lumber, and even target boards from local axe-throwing businesses — every day to power its boiler. If we can get our hands on it and use it in our boiler, we’ll get energy from it! The facility also utilizes landfill gas from Sioux Falls to help create power. We challenge you to celebrate #NationalRecyclingDay with us by choosing to recycle or reuse something to make this world a better place. 🌎♻️
Veterans make up 16% of the bioethanol workforce, according to the U.S. Department of Energy. That’s more than any sector in the entire energy industry, and it far surpasses the 6% national average. POET proudly employs over 100 team members who are military veterans. Veterans Day and every day, we extend our deepest gratitude to the brave individuals who have served and sacrificed to protect our families, our nation, and our freedom.
Voting is both a right and a responsibility. And exercising our right to vote — in any capacity — is one of the joys and duties of being an American. Tomorrow is Election Day. Get out there and make your voice heard!
