RRI’s Hasira Soul Ashemu (Founder and Chief Visionary Officer) and Allison Brown (Chief of Transformation) support leaders and staff in making meaningful, authentic commitments to diversity, equity, and inclusion—and then work alongside them to make those commitments a reality. Here at Summit, we ask hard questions. We don’t just monitor client progress in this area—we evaluate our own as well. Our team is made up of the best and brightest professionals in the field, and they bring a variety of different perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds. We realize that this is the foundation that facilitates real change in systems often prone to bias or discrimination. Did you know that Summit hosts DCDataFest each year? Our teams had a blast this spring with students from University of Maryland, Georgetown University, University of Mary Washington, Stillman College, City University of New York-Herbert H. Lehman College, and University of Rochester. Team Apan ’24 from the University of Maryland and Stillman College won for both Best Insight and Best Visualization, while Team 4Fun from the University of Mary Washington won for the Best Use of Statistical Analysis. Thank you to all the schools and students that participated! A special thank you and shout out to our distinguished judges (Albert Lee, Mingchao Chen, and Diego Fregolent Mendes de Oliveira) and our VIP consultants (Yuan Yuan and Shannon Houser) who spent all weekend coaching the student participants.
