Often the security team is the first interaction at a site for visitors and employees, which means they play a critical role in setting expectations and creating initial impressions. What security officers wear matters as much as how they wear it. This article explores the wide range of uniform variations, factors that influence the uniform selection, and the importance of maintaining appearance standards. #Uniforms #Impressions #SecurityUniforms #SecurityStrategy #SecurityTeam #Team #SunstatesSecurity #SecurityServices #SecurityTeam #SecurityPersonnel #SecurityCompany #CorporateSecurity #Security #SecurityGuard #SecurityOfficer
We love when site visitors show our officers appreciation and know our officers do as well! Officer Gwen Vereen has been with Sunstates Security since June 2021; she is currently assigned to a school of medicine lobby in Winston Salem, NC. Recently Officer Vereen was given flowers and a card from medical students who appreciate her smile and morning greetings. #OfficerAppreciation #ThankYouOfficers #SecurityTeam #Team #EmployeeAppreciation #EmployeeRecognition #SunstatesSecurity #SecurityServices
Sunstates Security welcomed Alex Fowler to the corporate office in June 2022. As the Associate Corporate Counsel, Alex will have a significant role within our legal team. His former employment and education equipped him for his position at Sunstates.
Last month Jackson, MS, experienced excessive rain and flooding, which caused the city’s water system to fail, leaving close to 200,000 residents without clean/reliable access to water. Sunstates Regional Manager Vincent Gaetano and his operations team wanted to support our team members and their families, so they loaded up a vehicle with 30 cases of bottled water, cleaning supplies, etc., to distribute to our security team and headed out from Nashville, TN. Regional Manager Vincent Gaetano stated, “I felt that something as simple as this would further show that it takes a “team” to be successful. Regardless of who wears a suit and tie, or a uniform with patches and badges, we all must work together to ensure that we stay true to Sunstates Security Vision and Mission statement. Our Mississippi team members have continued to show they will answer the call of duty to ensure our clients and the people are taken care of. I cannot thank our officers enough for continuing to represent Sunstates Security, and thank you for all that you do.”
Security Officer Amanda Morin of San Antonio impressed homeowners within hours of Sunstates Security assuming protective duties for a residential community. Later that month, a client from a different account visited the community for personal reasons and contacted Operations Manager Will Brewer to compliment Amanda for her professionalism. Also, we’d like to recognize Site Supervisor Captain Daryl Bourque, who has loyally served the community for over 20 years. We’re excited about this team and welcome them to Sunstates. Keep up the great work! In the wake of the quiet quitters and the great resignation, it’s important to know what really matters to your employees. At Sunstates, we realize that the key is to offer the correct wages to attract quality employees and non-monetary benefits that team members value to retain them. Factors that keep employees loyal, engaged and productive—or lead to work slowdowns and job switching—are experience-driven. When security officers make suggestions, spot issues, or go above and beyond and are recognized and rewarded, their morale soars. Likewise, offering career advancement and promoting from within keeps employees motivated. Read our article, Retaining Skilled Employees, for more information and learn how Sunstates values its team by building solid relationships and offering opportunities.
