To celebrate the Lunar New Year, members of our team were at our Chinatown Community Center handing out goodie bags to members. VNSNY’s Chinatown Neighborhood Naturally Occurring Retirement Community (NNORC) and Chinatown Community Center have been supporting aging Asian Americans who are isolated from services due to language barriers since 2009. We are proud to be a safe place where someone can learn about available resources in their preferred language. Happy Lunar New Year!

Join us in congratulating Carlos Sosa, Physician Fellowship & Medical Staffing Coordinator with VNSNY Hospice for being one of 2021 VNSNY ESPRIT award winners! Carlos manages physician and NP schedules, credentials and requirements, EMR system training, and onboarding fellows to the Hospice Fellowship program. Helping to spread the word about hospice as a positive and vital service--and helping to dispel the myths that it’s depressing, or all about death--is a great source of pride for him. “Knowing that my daily actions are contributing to providing these families with comfort and peace of mind is what I find most rewarding.”
