Congratulations 2020 VNSNY ESPRIT Award winner Tiffanie Taiste, a clinical care manager with VNSNY Care360° Solutions! A social worker with a master's degree, Tiffanie has a caseload that consists primarily of individuals with a dual diagnosis or co-morbidities such as a history of mental illness or substance use. "My clients' challenges can vary," she notes, "and may include housing or financial difficulties, home care needs, nutrition issues, mental health needs, or simply the need for social, emotional or family support. My goal is to ensure that each and every patient I make contact with is linked to ongoing supports and services. Connecting them to the right services at the very beginning is key!"

With his naturally comforting demeanor, supplemented by master's degrees in divinity and social work from Union Theological Seminary and Columbia School of Social Work, Willis has an innate ability to make people feel calm and safe when he's interacting with them. "I'm a social worker with a spiritual foundation, and I'm a good listener," he says, "so I think that makes me very attentive to the needs that someone is presenting to me at any given moment."

"We lost a lot of plan members to the pandemic," notes Marion. "Some of the staff had long-term relationships with these members, and it was a very sad time. One of my care managers had a couple die within two days of each other. A lot of people really struggled with the losses they experienced, and we really felt the need to support each other during this time."
